Malena McQuarrie Gonzalez

I am a textile design graduate from the National College of Art and Design. I see myself as a designer and a maker. My garments are to be used as props  to create an over all aesthetic for editorials. There is a constant use of manmade fabrics throughout my work such as plastics, neoprene, scuba and latex. Colour is hugely important to me and i am regularly influenced by soft pastels and neons. The collections i design are gender neutral. They are influenced by my visual research through still life photography. Whether I'm looking at form, colour or texture.
